Winter skin tips !

In winter our skin is becomes a bit fragile. The cold air, relentless winds and internal heating units all contribute to giving your skin a hard time over the colder months. The cold weather lowers your body temperature, which means you produce less natural skin oil, this  leads to very dry and irritable skin.

Here are some Triumph & Disaster tips to help you look after your skin this winter:

Moisturiser is essential all year round but particularly in winter. Triumph & Disaster Gameface Moisturiser will help seal in your natural skin oils and fill cell structures using its unique combination of Jojoba, Ponga fern and Horopito. These ingredients work together to calm the skin and protect you from the elements. The aim is to trap in good oils and stop the outside world from abusing your skin.

Don’t forget the sunscreen ! The suns UV rays are just as dangerous in winter as they are in summer. Using Triumph & Disaster ‘No Dice’ Sunscreen on the most exposed areas such as cheekbones and the nose will help prevent skin damage caused by the sun. Green Tea and Jojoba will naturally nourish the skin, Zinc will be your friend to protect against UVA & UVB.

Things to Avoid:

Long showers – Hot water strips your skin of its natural oils and also dehydrates the skin. Heating water is one of the high energy users in the house. Keep it short and at the same time you will be looking after your skin.

Steer clear of ‘Skincare’ products that contain alcohol and/or synthetic chemicals (an oxymoron if ever there was one). These are your skins natural enemies, they do more harm than good. Alcohol strips the skin and leave you looking tired and withered. Synthetic chemicals are made from products considered poisons when used in other application. These including petroleum – That’s petrol. Would you dare to rub petrol on your skin for a healthy glow?
